»(Das ist) Jemek der Hit« is the first rap single by Jemek Jemowit aka MC Doktor Dres. The digital release also contains three banging remixes and is accompanied by this video, featuring Jemowit’s famous all-girl crew. In the video MC Dr. Dres goes shopping on Berlin’s famed Kudamm boulevard. His crew don’t get too far in the city’s West Side with their 5 Euro bills, but they do have fun.
Remixes! Drumtek Tekkcore from Poland will destroy your speakers with his gabber/hardcore remix of »(Das ist) Jemek der Hit«, while Berlin duo Horst Barokko offer up their signature drum and bass treatment. L.A.’s Yung Internet God’s version can be described as nothing less than a bombastic supersound.
The LP »Jemek Jemowit is Dr. Dres« will be released as a download and limited edition vinyl in late summer 2015 on the Berlin-based label Martin Hossbach, home to the likes of Ludwig Amadeus Horzon and On-Brr.
From Wave to Punk-Rap: With his new sound, Jemek Jemowit has said his final goodbyes to all things wave and is going back to his roots: the harsh reality of Berlin’s Gropiusstadt projects, video games and Gucci dreams combine with American punk-rap and fat beats, as well as anarchistic/dadaistic lyrics in German and Polish.
